Spain-Costa de la Luz
Costa de la Luz
The Spanish Algarve is the Huelva Province of the Costa de la Luz and lies in the South West corner of Spain facing the Atlantic and bordering on Portugal, from which it is separated by the Guadiana River. The area was featured on the television programme 'Costa de la Luz - The next best thing'
Golf courses are one of the major Spanish leisure features and the Spanish Algarve is no exception with several high quality established courses and others in construction.
Access is quick and easy, generally into Faro Airport in Portugal, which has a large choice of low cost airlines flying from most parts of the UK, followed by a 30 minute drive to the open border. The area can also be accessed through Seville (1 hour) or Jerez (1 1/2 hours) by Ryanair. There are plans for a new international airport in the centre of the region. With prices here rising steadily, it makes buying property on the Costa de la Luz an attractive proposition.
Ayamonte

Just across the border from Portugal via the suspension bridge, this beautiful coastal town offers the UK buyer varying aspects. A noticeable feature of this region is the light winds and warmer than average climate.
From the Marina and Town through to the new golf course developments there is excellent opportunity for investment or permanent purchase.
Prices have remained lower than Portugal and further across the region towards Cadiz.
Huelva

Located on the mouth of the Odiel and Tinto estuary, Huelva is a pleasant place with many pretty plazas, absorbing historical monuments and, as you'd expect from a city with a bustling port, a wealth of seafood bars and restaurants.
The hub of the city centre today is the palm-lined square, the Plaza de las Monjas, close to the pedestrianised shopping district, along the streets of Concepcion to Berdigon. The centre is relatively compact so you can see the sights without having to hop on a bus.
