Why Spain?

It has been widely reported in the media that the Spanish property market is on it’s knees and that there is no investment left, household names have gone and it is general doom and gloom.

We want to make one important observation, buying in Spain is about the lifesyle, the warmth, the ease of access, friendly people, a taste of England should you want it, beautiful beaches, superb health care, great food, lower cost of living.

We could go on and on, indeed it is no coincidence that in The Economist Intelligents Units 2005 world wide quality of life index – a survey that covered 111 countries – Spain came in at number 10. The UK ranked 29th! Although Spain is twice the size of Great Britian the population is only two thirds of the UK, you can certainly notice this on Motorways, it is a joy to drive on them.

Over the years we have sold property to a wide range of clients from investors buying off plan to clients looking to retire, one theme has alway been apparent – every one of them has realised the importance of lifestyle.

Of course it is a fact at this time that property prices are falling it does make the ideal time to buy, well yes. It makes absolute sense to buy in a depressed market as property will always rise, so looking long term one would have a solid investment.

However an overall good time to buy property in Spain is when you want to, when your finances are in place and you are looking to buy that dream home, when you have decided you must go to the sun, your job takes you there, you want your children to play outside without risk, become bilingual, you feel you would receive better health care should you need it.

Whatever your reason Scott Pinkham International can help you realise that desire!!

Spanish Climate

The further south you head the warmer the year round climate is.

Summers are (very!) hot wherever you are, but winters are cold in the north and interior and especially wet in the north-west of the country.
