Getting There

British Airways, Ryanair, Wizz Air, easyjet, Flybe, Thompson Fly and Croatia Airlines all fly to Croatia.


British Airways flies from London Heathrow to Dubrovnik three times a week with fares starting at £67 for a single, while Wizz Air flies London Luton to Zagreb from aroun £30 single.

Flybe fly direct from Exeter and Birmingham to Dubrovnik; easyjet flies to Split and RyanAir to Istria.

 

Food and Drink

North Croatian Adriatic, Italian cuisine is common.

Garlic-rich cod and sardines are a speciality in Dalmatia.

However, in the north-east near Zagreb, dishes such as burek (meat pies) and casseroles – are closer to the fare of Central Europe.
